Our purpose is to connect Denver International Airport (DEN) with HCC construction entrepreneurs and learn how to do business with DEN and its network. To identify ongoing and future expansion project opportunities at DEN. The goal is, through connectivity and outreach, the Aviation Committee will navigate, instruct, and foster a program for disadvantaged businesses and entrepreneurs to do business at DEN.

The Taking Flight at DEN Virtual Outreach is a 75-minute presentation (Q&A) covering the multiple opportunities currently listed on the DEN Forecast.

 

Target audience: Prospective/current DEN contractors and vendors looking to learn about DEN's business opportunities are welcome to join! This event will feature opportunities for the following certification types ACDBE, MWBE, and SBE.

How can I participate in this workshop?

This event will be held via MS Teams. A computer and microphone (for questions) are highly recommended since there are visual demos.

NAACP Denver Branch hosts monthly meetings open to the public.  These meetings will address topics that affect communities of color in the City of Denver, the State of Colorado and the Nation.

Join the Hispanic Contractors of Colorado (HCC) and NUCA (National Utility Contractors Association) of Colorado for an exclusive upcoming project preview!

You'll hear from prime contractors and local municipalities/water districts about upcoming projects, including timelines and trades needed.

Denver International Airport (DEN) will host Meet the Primes, a new virtual outreach series in 2022. This is a free event intended to bring together firms who are working as construction and concession primes at DEN and help connect them with local, small, and historically underutilized firms wanting to do business at DEN.

 

Target audience: Prospective/current DEN contractors and vendors looking to learn about working with Specialty Trades (large first-tier firms) primes currently working at DEN.

How can I participate in this workshop?

This event will be held via Zoom. A computer and microphone (for questions) are highly recommended since there are visual demos.

In conjunction with the Black Construction Group (BCG), our purpose is to identify ongoing and future expansion project opportunities with Public Agencies ie: City & County of Denver (CCD), Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Denver Water (DW), Regional Transportation District (RTD). Through connectivity and outreach, the Infrastructure Committee will navigate, instruct, and foster a program for disadvantaged businesses and entrepreneurs to do business at CCD, CDOT, DW and RTD.

July's GMM will feature an Aviation update from Colorado Air & Space Port, Denver International Airport, and United Airlines. More details will be announced.

What is the Make the Connection Program?
The purpose of the Make the Connection Program is to strengthen relationships between AGC Members (Make the Connection Allies) and small and minority-owned firms (Make the Connection Champions) at AGC Networking Events. Upon identifying oneself as Champion or Ally you are opting in to receiving unique name tags that will help you make the connection while networking.
